Research Agronomist /Agricultural Engineer
The USDA Agricultural Research Service (ARS) seeks to hire an engineer who can apply their knowledge of engineering technology, including automation and robotics, and biological science to help solve agricultural problems concerned with power and machinery, electrification, structures, soil and water conservation, and processing of agricultural products. Specifically, the successful applicant will develop a research program aimed at 1) developing sensing, measuring, and recording components and other instrumentation, using computer-aided design technology, 2) testing agricultural machinery and equipment to ensure adequate performance, and 3) collaborating with engineers and other scientists in academia and private industry to advance the science of digital agricultural for managing pest
