Southern Minnesota Municipal Power Agency seeks an individual to supervise and oversee all aspects of operation, maintenance, budgeting, staffing, safety, and regulatory compliance for all Agency-operated generation facilities including the Fairmont Energy Station (FES), the Owatonna Energy Station (OES), and the Owatonna Public Utility's combustion turbine generating unit.

Two-year degree in electrical or mechanical engineering technology, or the equivalent combination of education and industry experience.
Ten years of relevant power generation industry experience; and strong project management skills required.
Five or more years of supervisory/management experience preferred.
A detailed knowledge of generation plant operations and maintenance required.
Knowledge and understanding of Midcontinent Independent System Operator, Inc. (MISO) policies and procedures as it relates to the operation of generation facilities in the MISO system preferred.
Knowledge of accounting, computers, utility contracts, generation and transmission systems, permits, and project management preferred.
