Brief Summary of Work for this Position
The Congdon School of Supply Chain, Business Analytics and Information Systems at the University of North Carolina Wilmington, Cameron School of Business, invites applications for an anticipated tenure-track position in Supply Chain Management at the Assistant/Associate Professor level to begin August 2024.
Candidates must show promise and evidence of excellence in teaching face-to-face and online, at both the graduate and undergraduate levels, and be able to teach in at least two of the following areas: quality management, supply chain management, purchasing and materials management, logistics and distribution management, transportation management, project management. A focused research agenda with an established publication record or strong potential for publication is expected.
The successful candidate will teach undergraduate introductory, intermediate, advanced, and graduate courses that support the department’s programs, supervise internships, advise majors, and develop a research program that engages undergraduate and graduate students. The standard teaching load is 18 credit hours per year.

Minimum Education and Experience Requirements
A Ph.D. in Supply Chain Management or Operations Management or a related area from an AACSB accredited Business School is required or must be obtained within the first academic year of employment.
Preference will be given to candidates who have the following qualifications:
Candidates who have already obtained their Ph.D. are preferred.
Evidence of excellence in teaching face-to-face and online, at both the graduate and undergraduate levels.
Be able to teach in at least two of the following areas:
quality management, supply chain management, purchasing and materials management, logistics and distribution management, transportation management, and project management.
A focused research agenda with an established publication record or strong potential for publication.
Primary Function of Organizational Unit
Congdon School of Supply Chain, Business Analytics, and Information Systems supports the Bachelor of Science with concentrations in Business Analytics, Information Systems and Supply Chain Management, Bachelor of Science in Information Technology, and Bachelor of Science in Cybersecurity. At the graduate level, the School supports the Master of Business Administration, Master of Science in Computer Science and Information Systems, Master of Science in Business Analytics, and Master of Science in Supply Chain Management.
