This is a senior level position in transportation engineering and project management that reports to senior staff, which may include the Design Section Manager. This position is responsible for managing the planning, design and implementation of complex Capital Improvement Program (CIP) Transportation projects, representing the Department of Transportation on interdepartmental teams for other CIP projects, collaborating with the NCDOT on City and State projects, applying and sharing of technical design expertise, and mentoring other engineering staff within the Design Section.
