As Department Manager and lead traffic engineering subject matter expert:
Supervise technical staff
Manage department resources to meet project needs
Perform QA on departmental work product such as plans, specifications, estimates, studies and reports
Assist PMs by preparing traffic scope, budgets and task durations for cost proposals
Assist senior management to market firm’s services and prepare technical proposals
Represent the firm in meetings with clients and project stakeholders
BS in Civil Engineering
MS in Traffic Engineering or equivalent preferred.
Professional Engineer in NJ, NY or PA
10 years of progressive Traffic Engineering & ITS engineering experience including:
Highway capacity/LOS analysis using HCS
Speed/delay studies and queuing analysis
Traffic signal design including adaptive signals
MUTCD and Highway Safety Manual
Signing, Pavement Marking Design
Traffic Safety Mitigation
Design of ITS facilities such as security and traffic cameras and DMS
Familiar with communication networks
Familiar with NJDOT, NJTA, PANYNJ and PennDOT standards
Demonstrated leadership, management and mentoring skills
Demonstrated written and verbal communications skills
