Interested in deciphering the molecular mechanisms of gene expression regulation and the impact of genetic sequence variation? Join our Team at the Wake Forest Center for Precision Medicine where we develop and apply novel tools to study DNA-protein interactions using molecular genetics and proteomics! We have developed a novel technology called HyCCAPP (for Hybridization Capture of Chromatin-Associated Proteins for Proteomics, PMCID: PMC6101452), and are recruiting a postdoctoral fellow to explore this technology to study disease-associated SNPs (R01 GM118741). An opportunity to combine disease genetics with multi-omics analyses and technology development!

Ph.D. in molecular biology, biochemistry, genetics or related field. Experience in mammalian cell culture, qPCR, and DNA sequencing required. Experience in mass spectrometry for protein analysis an advantage but not required.

The position is available immediately.

The Center for Precision Medicine is an academic research center, part of the School of medicine at Wake Forest University in Winston-Salem, NC. The mission of the Center is to develop and support innovative, collaborative, multidisciplinary research programs to understand the transition of normal physiology to dysregulated disease processes at the molecular level. The detailed understanding of these changes will advance our ability to improve long-term health outcomes of our patients, to diagnose patients at risk effectively and accurately, and to develop novel innovative treatment and lifestyle modification strategies. The Center has over 70 faculty members, receiving over $35 million in federal funding.
