REPORTS TO: Director of Engineering

DISTINGUISHING FEATURES OF THE WORK:

• Supervision of civil engineers and project inspectors.
  Responsible for planning, designing, and overseeing construction and maintenance of structures and facilities.
• Coordinating the dissemination of accurate VIPA data to the public, federal agencies, local government, and VIPA managers.

PROFICIENT IN THE FOLLOWING ENGINEERING DUTIES:

• Manages capital improvement projects both federal and local.
• Prepares reports, estimates, plans, and specifications for plant additions or renovations.
• Inspects new construction to insure adherence to plans and specifications.
• Reviews and compare final construction with plans, maps and job specifications.
• Coordinates, as necessary, general work items and procedures to get the project completed.
• Certifies pay requests.
• Performs surveying and sundry engineering work as required by other departments.
• Prepares change orders and close-out documents for all projects.
• Performs other related work as required.
