Under general direction of the Traffic Systems Division Manager, the Intelligent Transportation Systems Supervisor (ITS) is responsible for overseeing traffic signal operations, supervising, organizing and participating in the work of traffic system technicians engaged in the installation, maintenance and repair of traffic signals, school zone flashers and other related traffic system components. Work requires frequent communication with the general public, City employees, vendors and contractors.
Required: Associate's Degree and/or technical training in traffic signal maintenance or related field, and three (3) years of experience related to area of assignment; or, an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job Must possess a valid Class C Texas Driver's License with a good driving record International Municipal Signal Association (IMSA) Level II Traffic Signal Technician Certification (Field or Bench), IMSA Traffic Signal Inspection Certification Work Zone Safety Certification Ability to read, comprehend, and analyze blue prints and schematics Knowledge of MUTCD standards Ability to determine, prioritize and assign work Effective oral and written communications skills Available for emergency response and after hour calls as needed Must live within 45 minutes response radius from College Station City limits
Additional Salary Information: Full hourly range: $20.85 - 31.28/hour
