Tenure-track Assistant/Associate Professor (Construction Management)

Section I: Scope The Civil and Environmental Engineering Department is seeking to fill a full-time, tenure-track position at the assistant or associate professor rank beginning in the Fall 2020 semester.
Section II: Responsibilities Reports to: Chairperson of Civil & Environmental Engineering Department Supervises: None Responsibilities: The successful candidate will be expected to teach graduate (MS level) courses in construction management, as well as civil engineering courses at the undergraduate level. In addition, the candidate will be expected to initiate and sustain a scholarly research program. The candidate will also be expected to engage in service activities on campus and with off-campus engineering groups. Section III: Qualifications A doctorate degree in Civil Engineering, with a specialization in Construction Management, is required. Additional requirements are an undergraduate degree in civil engineering and a professional engineering license or the ability to become licensed within a reasonable period of time. Candidates will be evaluated on the above criteria as well as their academic background, professional experience, communication skills, and potential for excellence in teaching, scholarly and professional activity, and service to the College. Completed applications must include a statement of teaching interests, a statement of research interests, copies of college transcripts, and a detailed curriculum vita, along with the names and contact information for three references.
