CivilTech Engineering, Inc. is hiring a Technical Director of Water Resources with 15+ years of experience in its Cypress, Texas office. On a daily basis, this person will be ensuring projects are on-schedule and meets the technical expertise that the client requires. Additionally, this person will be overseeing the team that will be performing hydrologic and hydraulic studies for flood control projects, storm water drainage systems, master drainage plans, and highway drainage systems.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Candidates must have strong technical skills, including ability to analyze reports, maps, drawings and other technical data to plan and design projects
Team spirit and willingness to assist junior staff in a team environment to deliver accurate project deliverables within designated scope, schedule and budget parameters
Ability to meet with clients and maintain excellent client relations and meet client expectations, including an ability to concisely explain project status and address/remedy client concerns
Ability to handle multiple assignments simultaneously
Must be able to prepare project scopes of work, cost proposals, schedules and contracts
Candidate will be responsible for control of work-in-process, ensures accurate client billings and monitors both accounts receivable and collection efforts for projects
Prepare, modify or direct preparation and modification of reports, specifications, plans, construction schedules, environmental impact studies, and designs for projects
15+ years of experience within Water Resources (i.e. H&H, drainage systems, flood control, etc.)
Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering, with a focus on Water Resources from an accredited four-year college or university
Must have excellent working knowledge of standard software for hydrologic and hydraulic modeling, including USACE HEC Software (HEC-HMS, HEC-GeoHMS, HEC-RAS, HEC-GeoRAS, HEC-DSS) and ESRI ArcGIS
Professional Engineer with current Texas registration
Experience working with Harris County Flood Control District, US Association of Civil Engineers, City of Houston and/or TxDOT is preferred
Current CFM Certification is preferred
Must have a valid driver’s license
