The City of Concord, NH Engineering Services Division is seeking an experienced and energetic Transportation/Traffic Engineer to help lead the City's multi-modal transportation planning, design and construction projects, and traffic analyses. This is an exciting opportunity to join the Capital City's innovative team of municipal engineers and planners furthering the implementation of the State's first Complete Streets Policy and its first Bicycle Friendly Community designation. Reporting directly to the City Engineer, this position assists the Community Development Department in the management of Concord's Transportation Capital Improvement Projects and the Transportation Master Plan. This position performs a variety of professional engineering and managerial tasks from coordinating and implementing the traffic and transportation activities all across the City, to administering, planning, design, and construction of major traffic and transportation capital projects, in addition to conducting transportation related technical reviews of proposed developments.
Minimum Requirements: Bachelor's degree from a 4-year accredited college or university with major coursework in civil and/or traffic/transportation engineering, or other related field; and five (5) years of progressively responsible traffic and transportation engineering experience including three (3) years of supervisory experience; or, any combination of education, training and experience which provides the knowledge, skills and abilities required for the job. PE required and PTOE preferred.
