Appanoose County, Iowa, is seeking qualified applicants for the position of County Engineer.
Position requires a Professional Engineer in the State of Iowa. Registration as a land surveyor in Iowa is preferred, but is not required.
The County Engineer is responsible for the overall planning, direction, coordination, and supervision of the County Secondary Roads Department, including the effective, safe, and efficient construction, maintenance, and engineering of all county secondary roads and related services.
Possible salary ranging from $80,000 to $110,000 with salary negotiable depending upon experience and qualifications. Employee single health and dental insurance paid.

About Appanoose County Secondary Roads Department
The Appanoose County Secondary Road Department is responsible for Management of approximately 750 mile of County roads. This includes all maintenance activities with a crew of 20 plus employees and Engineering design and construction inspection of road and bridges.
