General Description Under direction, performs complex professional engineering work in the research, planning, design and construction of water, recycled water, sewer, and renewable energy capital improvement projects; coordinates and may guide the work of lower-level professional and technical staff. Qualifications Graduation from an accredited college or university with a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or other engineering discipline acceptable to the District. Requires California registration as a Professional Engineer. Treatment Facility Design, Corrosion Engineering/Design, and Field Engineering/Construction experience is a plus. A Civil Engineer I may be considered for advancement to Civil Engineer II after three years of professional level civil engineering experience (five years is preferred) gained under California Registration as a Professional Engineer (P.E.). |
