The Electrical and Computer Engineering Department at Christian Brothers University seeks a visiting/assistant/associate/full tenure professor. This professor will provide instruction with concentration in electrical engineering giving attention to the Lasallian tradition through excellence in teaching, preparing graduates for professional careers and advanced study in engineering and encouraging students to live with moral responsibility and constructive community involvement. The department is particularly interested in candidates with a background in the areas of computer engineering or digital systems.
Qualified candidates in other areas will also be considered. Regardless of emphasis area, all faculty are expected to be willing to teach core undergraduate electrical engineering.
Duties and Responsibilities (Essential Functions):
Teach undergraduate courses in Electrical and Computer Engineering
Contribute to the educational and professional mission of the Electrical and Computer Engineering Department
Guide the students in the Lasallian tradition of excellence in teaching
Additional Duties and Responsibilities (Non-Essential Functions):
Advise students for completion of their degree
Attend Departmental meetings
Assist in special events
PhD is preferred, ABD will be considered
Statement of Teaching Philosophy is required
Prior Industry or Academics is preferred
Professional engineering licensure or other industry certifications are considered a plus
9 month assignment paid over 12 months
