Advanced Technology for Large Structural Systems (ATLSS) Center Director

The Lehigh University Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering is seeking a senior level faculty member to become the Director of the Advanced Technology for Large Structural Systems (ATLSS) Engineering Research Center. The ATLSS Center is an internationally-recognized research center focused on the performance of infrastructure, with emphasis on large-structural systems. ATLSS has performed funded-research for the NSF, US DoT, US DoD, US DoE, and Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, as well as numerous other government agencies, private companies, and industry-wide organizations. Large-scale experiments are an important feature of ATLSS, and its laboratories are a unique national resource. ATLSS researchers are well known for research in areas such as durable and sustainable infrastructure, monitoring and assessment of infrastructure, infrastructure that is resilient to natural and other hazards, and life-cycle infrastructure engineering. The ATLSS Center Director is required to be engaged in undergraduate and graduate teaching, in addition to building and leading a team of graduate students in research.
