The Front Office Customer Service Representative performs routine clerical and administrative work in answering telephones, greeting members, guests, members and various vendors (UPS, FedEx USPS) through the day. Expectations are to be helpful in a positive, prompt, and professional manner by making the most of all resources, always mindful of the greatest benefit to our members.
Responsible for handling front office reception
Answers central telephone system and directs calls accordingly.
Open/distribute mail and prepare payments for accounting. This includes the inputting of batches, and processing returned mail.
Coordinate mailings/projects from other departments
Review/process the customer service email inbox to ensure the communications are being handled in a timely and effective manner.
Maintenance liaison for assigned tasks.
Ordering/distribution of office supplies while staying within the budget requirements
Assist with administrative tasks.
Able to react to change productively and handle other essential tasks as assigned.
We are a multi-generation environment and the ability to work with all ages is a must.
Intermediate computer skills and proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook required.
Proven customer support experience or experience as a client service representative.
Ability to work with all ages.
Strong phone contact handling skills and active listening.
Customer orientation and ability to adapt/respond to different types of characters.
Excellent communication and presentation skills.
Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
High School Degree or GED, some college preferred, however, not required.
Two to four years’ in association helpful.
Three years’ experience in customer service and front desk.
This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
