Lead and facilitate the implementation of global and site specific quality initiatives and their continual improvement specifically focused on Cost Non-Quality and Scrap Reduction. Responsible for the day-to-day site quality engineering activities including material disposition, internal/external concern management, APQP / FMEA / PPAP activities, metrology management, etc. Lead, coach, and facilitate problem solving, analysis of data and continual improvement activities.
Main focus in CIMS for plant(s) – Creating a plan of action for cost savings around CNQ, Productivity, Launch, Scrap, Special Freight, PPM reductions, etc.
Implement plan of action for cost savings & internal efficiencies by working closely with plant teams
Monitor and review key process activities and key actions to ensure progress
Responsible for and/or participate in Material Review Board (MRB) and Design Review Board
Plan and implement inspection instruction sheets and assist Inspectors
Complete Internal Problem Solving Reports
Corrective/Preventive action issues
Train and assist employees in the Management System
Lead, coach, and develop quality assurance team members to assure a quality product
Participate in the layered audit process and as an internal management
Bachelors Degree in Industrial/Manufacturing or Mechanical or ASQ Quality Engineering Certificate is preferred
Possess 5+ years experience/exposure in a manufacturing environment
Problem Solving experience a MUST
Proficient in quality system development, automotive quality systems/technical specifications
Must possess management system auditing and problem solving skills and experience in customer concern management is essential
Must be computer efficient in MS Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Project, and Access
Working knowledge of statistical techniques, data analysis and root cause tools
Self directed & hands on, goal-oriented individual possessing excellent communication, presentation, and organization, and leadership skills
