Civil - Urban and Community Planning, Civil Engineering
Huitt-Zollars' Houston, Texas Office has an immediate full-time opportunity for a Civil Engineer to provide engineering design for diverse public and private projects including site and land development, water utilities and storm drainage projects. Candidate must have a Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering and an EIT or PE.
Produce design plans of streets, storm drain, sewer, water and reclaimed water for public works projects and development projects including residential subdivisions, commercial and industrial developments
Produce design and construction drawings incorporating information from supervisor, research data and consultants for various projects including land development grading, utility, drainage, paving plans, etc.
Research materials and assemblies for design and construction drawings as directed by supervisor
Conduct site visits and assist with documenting findings
Attends project meetings, records and distributes meeting minutes
Assists with general project correspondence and prepare graphic materials for presentations and/or documents
Works collaboratively in a team environment with engineers, architects and surveyors
B.S. in Civil Engineering (BSCE) with EIT.
Texas P.E. is a plus
Minimum 3 years' experience
Proficient in AutoCAD Civil 3D
Proficient in MS Word, Outlook, Excel and PowerPoint
Ability to prepare civil engineering documents and specifications for projects
Ability to read redlines and modify drawings accurately
Ability to work in a team environment
Strong knowledge of construction means, methods and techniques
