The City of Eau Claire (pop. 66,000), a university community in northwest Wisconsin, is seeking qualified applicants for the professional position of Utilities Engineer in the Community Services Department. This position is responsible for the operation, maintenance and project upgrades of the water and wastewater treatment plants. Must have knowledge of treatment techniques, and have electrical and mechanical aptitude. Desirable qualifications include plant maintenance and operation experience, excellent communication and supervisory skills, and project management experience with a strong background in electrical powered equipment. Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical or Industrial Engineering or a related field required. Must be able to obtain and maintain within one year of employment State of Wisconsin DNR certification in Municipal Water Supply and Wastewater Operator.
