The Quality Documentation Specialist plays a central role in the Quality Department by creating, tracking, and maintaining high-quality technical documentation for CTS Cement’s Quality and Operations functions. This position will ensure records are organized and maintained in a centralized location to ensure ready access as needed to contribute to the overall consistent quality of our products. The position reports to the Director of Quality and works collaboratively with Quality Department personnel as well as Operations, R&D, and Accounting.
Work with internal teams to obtain an in-depth understanding of the products and the documentation requirements.
Develop an efficient information architecture and backup/security process.
Collaborate with various departments and locations to centralize storage of QA records.
Create and maintain easy-to-understand user documentation for a variety of material, including how-to guides, instruction manuals, procedures and reports.
Integrate existing manuals and procedures; analyze for completeness.
Ensure technical verbiage used in communications, manuals and reports is easy to understand by the intended audience.
Prepare charts, graphs, or forms to complement quality control data.
Maintain document version control.
Prepare and distribute formulations to production.
Maintain Quality Events Log and reporting. Communicate with appropriate departments on current status and resolution.
Track and maintain equipment calibration records.
Study drawings, specifications, mockups, and product samples.
Coordinate regulatory agency inspections and/or internal company audits.
Cross train with other inter-department functions to provide backup as needed. Cross training and backup support may include material or product disposition recommendations, plant inspections, data review, etc.
Travel to manufacturing sites to audit for QA System compliance.
Work with research and development on production scale-up of new materials.
Work with laboratories and internal personnel on to establish new test methods reinforce established methods.
Skills and Qualifications:
Bachelor degree in related field.
Five (5) years of experience in Quality and Manufacturing field.
Experience in testing of cementitious products.
Familiarity with field practices of concrete construction and restoration.
