Architect/Engineer II in Salem’s Structure & Bridge Section designs, coordinates, and oversees the development of engineering plans of various complexities used in the construction, rehabilitation, repair, and maintenance of highway bridges and structures using structural design/analysis software and tools. Effectively manages assigned projects to ensure timely and accurate completion. Analyzes and checks structural plans and shop drawings of others to ensure correctness. Estimates quantities and costs of materials/equipment/labor. Provides technical guidance on structural design issues from the preliminary engineering process through construction.
