Johnson County Public Works is looking for qualified candidates to fill the position of Engineering Division Manager for their Road and Bridge Division. Job duties may include the following:
Participate in the Department's leadership team in providing direction and vision for the Public Works Department.
Administer the Department's Road and Bridge program including all aspects associated with design, right-of-way, construction, inspection, and procurement.
Manage and provide leadership for the Road and Bridge Division staff.
Coordinate and manage public meetings and respond to citizen requests.
Coordinate and communicate with local jurisdictions, County departments, County management, staff, and elected officials.
Develop the department's annual and 5 year road improvement plan.
Assist in the development of the department's road maintenance plans.

A Bachelor's degree in engineering is required with a civil engineering degree or other related degree preferred. Ten years of civil engineering experience in project management and contract administration of transportation project design and construction is also required along with five years of personnel management and supervision experience. The successful candidate must have a Professional Engineer's License as well as a valid driver's license and good driving record.
