The position is responsible for providing leadership and support for the development of effective business processes as supported by new and existing systems, which includes SAP Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) application development and support for reports, interfaces, conversions and enhancements for multiple functional areas (Quality Assurance, Design Engineering and R&D).
Key Responsibilities: - Interacting with user management, business leaders, IT Management and IT technical staff to identify needs and create a business case for changes to business systems and processes. - Developing and translating generalized business requirements into specific business processes and system configuration setting while maintaining correct system performance. - Assessing business needs and how better business processes, support systems, and technology can improve efficiency and competitive advantages including SAP and other technologies. - Architects new business solutions and manipulates complex systems, such as SAP, through configuration tools to support new user needs. - Documents as-is and future state business processes via flow charts and similar tools; defining the needs, costs, return-on-investment, and measurements for business and technology change. - Carrying out system configuration changes and coordinating all module and system integration testing in conjunction with power users. - Train users and liaise with technology vendors to understand future development of technology and design business solutions accordingly.
Requirements: - Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field such as Engineering and Management or Production Engineering, followed by: - Five (5) years of progressive experience in the job offered or as a Senior Analyst, SAP; Systems Analyst, SAP; or Manager, Product Engineering. - Requires five (5) years of experience with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP), including ERP go-live implementation and upgrade with required functional and technical documentation. - Configuration and system level technical and functional experience with SAP application development (SAP PLM, SAP Document Management Systems (DMS), SAP CAD Integration, and Status Management). - CAD Tool, including CAD structures and relationships and CAD integration components; Engineering Change Management, SAP Quality management, SAP Classification System and SAP Materials Management processes; and business case development, including the development of return on investment scenarios and basic ROI analysis. - Solution mapping of Engineering, R&D and NPDI business processes in PLM System. - Business process automation using automation technologies such as SAP Business Workflow. - Flowcharting tools to design business processes. - Managing go-live projects with required functional and technical documentation. - Consulting with technology vendors and solution providers.
