Mead & Hunt, Inc., a nationally recognized professional services consulting firm, has a position available for an experienced structural engineer to work with our food and beverage group. Responsibilities include planning, layout, and design of structural systems for food and beverage production facilities; coordinating structural building systems with process equipment designers, owners, and internal design teams; preparing project plans and specifications for permit review, bidding and construction; performing periodic construction site visits to observe and document project progress; and mentoring less experienced staff. Travel will be required.
The successful candidate will have all of the following:
Bachelor’s degree or higher in civil and/or structural engineering
At least eight years of relevant engineering experience (buildings related)
PE license in any state with the ability to obtain in multiple states
The ideal candidate will have any/all of the following; experience designing structural systems for food and beverage production facilities; experience designing and detailing multi-floor steel, poured in place concrete, plain and reinforced masonry, precast concrete, tilt-up concrete, and heavy timber structural building systems; knowledge of codes, statutes, and laws related to building design and construction; experience with RAM and/or RISA structural analysis software; Wisconsin PE license; SE license; construction administration experience; experience with Revit.
