This position is located in the Engineering Division of the Utilities Department with the City of Oklahoma City. The primary purpose of this position is to supervise the Asset Management Group for the Utilities Department. The Asset Management Program will manage the condition assessment and survey and inventory of water and wastewater facilities in order to determine needs for operation and maintenance for capital improvements projects in order to provide reliable and safe water and wastewater service while efficiently utilizing resources and funds. This position is needed so that existing staff can begin the implementation of the Asset Management Program along with the other requirements of the $1.3 billion capital programs which includes vital projects for improving reliability and resiliency within the water and wastewater systems and treatment facilities.
This position requires a Professional Engineer’s License and possession of a valid driver license. The departmental preferences include a Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering (Civil); a minimum of ten (10) years of experience in water, wastewater, and GIS software; a minimum of ten (10) years of asset management experience to include development of asset management programs; and a minimum of ten (10) years of experience operating and maintaining water and/or wastewater systems in a municipal utility service.
