It’s not hyperbole to say the position of Managing Director for Jones Edmunds’ Infrastructure discipline has the potential to make a long-term impact felt around the state of Florida. And the position of Managing Director for our Infrastructure discipline plays a critical role in continuing that mission.
The Managing Director is ultimately responsible for all aspects of the technical quality, management, and profitability of the firm’s obligations under their control. This position assists in implementing corporate mission and vision statements; facilitates efficient operation of the Company by establishing goals, assigning tasks, and monitoring accomplishments; involves soliciting, developing, and maintaining clients; and provides fiscal management and planning including assisting in preparing the budget for his or her area of responsibility.
Inspiring others must be second nature to the Managing Director. Qualities such as Leadership and Accountability and the ability to view projects on a micro and macro level also define the position.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Use servant leadership skills to manage Associates allowing for a cohesive team aligned to achieve the firm’s goals and objectives.
Responsible for the overall functioning and project results of the Infrastructure Discipline.
Develop a staffing plan by evaluating workload, backlog, and client/project needs.
Engage with Associates to further their career development.
Meet or exceed bookings goals for the Infrastructure Discipline.
Establish, develop, and maintain relationships with clients and potential clients.
Work closely with the Primary Client Contacts to ensure that they are informed of project progress, accomplishments, and challenges.
Work closely with the Primary Client Contacts to develop new projects and maintain client satisfaction.
Ensure the discipline is consistently producing project documents that are in line with company standards and meet the project objective.
Aid our Associates in identifying project problems, evaluating options for resolution including risks Associated with each, and implementing appropriate solutions.
Quality Program Responsibility
Responsible for proper quality assurance and quality control in accordance with the Jones Edmunds Project Management Manual and Jones Edmunds Quality Program to ensure projects meet Company, industry, and client standards and expectations.
Hold team members and reviewers accountable to the Jones Edmunds standard for quality.
Verify and ensure brainstorming is occurring for all projects and participate in brainstorming as appropriate.
Ensure quality control is being implemented on subconsultant work product.
Accountable for the quality of work performed by the Discipline.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Education: BS Engineering from accredited college or university
Registration: May require registration as a Florida Registered Professional Engineer
Experience: 15+ years of diversified engineering experience, at least 10 of which have been in a supervisory or management capacity consisting of planning, designing, and construction of engineering projects.
Other: Knowledge of business management and operation
