Murray, Smith & Associates, Inc.(MSA) is searching for a Senior Water/Wastewater Designer to work with our growing pump station and treatment facilities group in the Pacific Northwest. The successful candidate(s) will be located in our Boise, Idaho and/or Portland, Oregon office working closely with our engineers to produce construction drawings for municipal and industrial water and wastewater pump stations and treatment facilities. The successful candidate will work in a high energy environmental with a team priding itself on responsive client service and delivery of innovative and cost effective solutions to complex engineering challenges.
Prepare design documents, layouts, and construction plans from a conceptual design sketch
Work collaboratively in a team environment to facilitate successful project execution
Establish and adhere to QA/QC criteria and standards, and review CAD drawings developed by others for adherence to criteria and standards
Take ownership of content and presentation of developed projects
Team player with ability to work independently;
Experience in developing detailed designs for complex municipal and industrial pump stations and treatment facilities;
Ability to interpret and develop detailed drawings from sketches and mark-ups provided by engineers;
Experience and proficiency using the AutoCAD® suite of products, including Plant3D, MEP, and P&ID;
Experience developing 2D design drawings generated from 3D models; and
Familiarity with Microstation, Revit, Civil3D and Geographic Information Systems (GIS) is a plus.
