Performs supervisory work in the Traffic Maintenance Section of the Public Works Department, designing, fabricating, installing, maintaining, and repairing traffic control signs and equipment, street markings, and temporary traffic routing. Directs investigations to determine the need for special parking requirements or in response to complaints and inquires involving traffic maintenance activities. Prepares traffic maintenance reports and makes recommendations relative to traffic activities. Reviews plans and advises regarding requirements and use of property traffic control warning devices. Oversees the collection, accounting, and safekeeping of parking meter revenues. Oversees administration of the unit budget. Performs related work as assigned.

Must meet one of the following requirements:
Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management, Business Administration, Civil Engineering or a closely related field of study from an accredited college, and two years of progressively responsible experience in a variety of traffic maintenance duties, including supervisory experience of skilled and/or semi-skilled labor crews. OR An Associate's Degree in a related field, and four years of progressively responsible experience in a variety of traffic maintenance duties, including two years of full supervisor experience. OR A total of 30 semester credits of college level, related coursework and progressively responsible experience in a variety of traffic maintenance duties. A total of five years of experience, including two years of full supervisor experience.
