The Quality Manager will lead all efforts to ensure the company’s products and services meet or exceed customer’s expectations.
Duties and Responsibilities: • Responsible for the development, implementation and maintenance of the Quality Management System in compliance to international standards (ISO 9001, ISO 14001, TS 16949) • Responsible for direct supervision of QA personnel and the development of skills required to support present and future business objectives • Lead cross functional teams in the resolution of internal/external quality issues using a structured problem solving approach such as the 8D principles • Provide technical support as related to product development and regulatory activities • Implement statistical methods for problem solving, scrap reduction and continuous quality improvement in support of One Southwire’s OPS culture • Maintain and communicate Quality metrics and initiate actions/improvement plans to assure goals are met • Recommend improvements in production methods, equipment, operating procedures and working conditions. • Prepare for and lead customer and regulatory agency audits

Qualifications and Experience Requirements: • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering required along with 5+ years quality management experience in a manufacturing environment preferred • Six Sigma black belt or green belt certification preferred • Working knowledge of APQP methodology required, including PPAP, FMEA, GR&R (Gage Repeatability and Reproducibility), Process Validation, and Control Plans • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing tools a plus • Detailed oriented, self-starter with the ability to deal with multiple challenges and projects simultaneously with minimal supervision • Must have excellent P.C. skills including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint. SAP and ERP experience a plus. • Strong leadership skills as well as excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills • Excellent organization, problem solving, and decision-making skills • ASQ certification desired • Ability to travel 25%
