Reports to the Quality Engineer Director. The Quality Engineer position is responsible for quality functions flowed to Composites Horizons through ISO 9001, AS9100 and Nadcap. Quality analysis requires hands-on experience in multiple quality functions. Strong analytical and communications skills are required.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Transition CHI attribute quality performance to SPC data base
Respond to customer concerns
Oversee SPC and associated activities
Support internal ISO / NADCAP audit activity
Assist in Root Cause/Corrective Action activity
Support First Article Inspection function
Prepare Inspection check lists
Develop performance reports
Perform organizational training
Support Inspection related to Operations requirements
Assist with Continuous Improvement and TQM programs
Background Knowledge Requirements:
Prefer a minimum of 2 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment
Experience reading / understanding / inspecting to design drawings, prints and associate specification requirements
4 year Engineering degree, with minimum 2 years’ experience preferred
Strong knowledge of GEAE Quality systems
CQE, or equivalent preferred
Working knowledge of FMEA, SPC, DOE , Six Sigma Statistics, Gage R&R
Six Sigma Green or Black belt certification a plus
Familiar with: Military / Commercial / FAA requirements
Cause / Corrective Action / Preventive Action
Continuous Process Improvement
Functional understanding of Microsoft Desktop Programs
Fluent in English
Good understanding of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing.
