We work at military installations across the state and were on the design team for the iconic Norman Armed Forces Readiness Center and Tinker AFB Multi-Bay Aircraft Hangar.
We are seeking an experienced and knowledgeable Site Civil PE to add to our outstanding team of professionals.
Oklahoma P.E. License or the ability to acquire an Oklahoma P.E. License within 6 months.
5-10 years' experience in the field of Civil Engineering.
Skilled and knowledgeable in the area of Site Development.
Skilled in the areas of marketing, project management, design and general oversight.
Experience with private, military, municipal and state agency clients strongly desired.
Skilled in Microstation PowerCivil or AutoCAD Civil 3D in the pursuit of accurate and efficient site design and development requirements.
Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.
Possess the ability to work with and supervise a team of engineers and technicians while coordinating with and meeting the needs of clients and sub-consultants, including land survey teams and architects.
Experience with utility coordination, floodplain delineation, surface water and stormwater management/design and hydraulic modeling preferred.
Clean background. This position will often represent the company during on-site meetings with military and other government clients. As such, a background check will be required.
Prepares and monitors project budgets initially for smaller, less complex projects.
Responsible for project schedules and timely completion of projects.
Serves as a project manager or project engineer and as a designated client contact.
Assists in the coordination of pricing, estimating, scoping and marketing strategies for proposed projects.
Assists in the preparation of engineering agreements for his/her projects within the department.
Prepares design computations and quantity estimates.
Develops probable construction cost estimates for his/her projects within the department.
Attends client meetings - days or nights (nights being fairly unusual).
Responsible for control of work-in-process, ensures accurate client billings, and monitors outstanding accounts receivable and collection efforts on his/her projects.
Analyzes reports, maps, drawings, blueprints, tests, and aerial photographs on soil composition, terrain, hydrological characteristics, and other topographical and geologic data to plan and design project.
Directs and supervises other engineer's activities
Handles routine contract administration.
Prepares or modifies reports, specifications, plans, construction schedules, environmental impact studies, and designs for project.
Instructs drafts persons / technicians to reduce designs to working drawings.
Visits construction site to monitor progress and other duties per the contract documents.
Serves as onsite project representative.
Responsible for project manager and/or project team quality system tasks as defined in the quality manual.
