Applies advanced-level professional engineering knowledge and skills to a broad scope of engineering and project management assignments and issues. Uses independent judgment, initiative, and creativity to make technical decisions of considerable difficulty and directing projects of significant complexity.
A Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering is required.
Ten (10) years of progressively responsible work experience specifically in the North American railroad industry, including four (4) years as a licensed Professional Engineer, performing the above and related primary duties within a technical and/or managerial position is required. The ability to design and develop plans and specifications for internal and/or external use, in a CADD environment, is required.
A Professional Engineer license in the civil or structural disciplines is required at hire and Alaska Professional Civil Engineering registration and licensure must be obtained within one year of hire. Must possess a valid driver's license.
Work experience specifically in the North American railroad industry
