The City Engineer responsibilities are to manage, direct and coordinate activities of the Engineering Division including capital improvement programs, design, field survey and construction management. Direct and coordinate regional and local transportation planning programs. Coordinate the Public Works elements of development and building permit with other divisions and agencies. Coordinate and administer the storm water regulatory programs. Provide GIS, automation, and infrastructure management to the department. Provide for Systems Development Charge (SDC) program review and ongoing management, and highly responsible and complex administrative support to the Executive Director of Public Works.
Experience - Seven years of increasingly responsible professional civil engineering experience including two years of supervisory and administrative responsibility.
Education - Equivalent to a Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in civil engineering or a related field. Other combinations of experience and education that meet the minimum requirements may be substituted.
License or Certificate - Possession of a certificate of registration as a professional civil engineer in the State of Oregon, or ability to obtain by reciprocity.
