Overview / Responsibilities Wood is seeking a Senior Civil Engineer with strong track record of employee supervision, successful business development, hands-on client service management and effective project management to serve as the Site Development Practice Leader in Phoenix. The ideal candidate will be an energetic, self-motivated professional who has proven experience in engineering design as well as construction document preparation related to site civil work, with heavy emphasis on commercial and industrial markets for architects, municipalities and developers/contractors.
Key Responsibilities This key seller/doer position demands a proven ability to develop business and manage/deliver projects in a team environment. Engineering efforts include drawing and specification production of site/civil work including grading and earthwork, storm drain systems, sanitary sewer systems, water systems, utility coordination, access roads, site permitting and other site related tasks; plus design calculations, quantity take-offs and estimating. The position also requires effective business development skills and knowledge and demands existing working relationships and contacts with architectural and land development firms, as well as municipalities, in the local market.
