The Director of Quality is responsible for organizing, leading, implementing, and supervising day to day operations of Nutrabolt’s quality management and risk management programs. This includes being the primary point of contact for Nutrabolt with our manufacturers as it relates to product quality and compliance. This role will be accountable for coordination of internal performance improvement activities, as well as leading and overseeing all initiatives regarding process improvement and quality assurance.
Provides overall strategic direction to the Quality organization in the areas of:
Maintaining a transformational supply chain strategy which aligns to Nutrabolt’s corporate strategy and ensuring annual goals on the supply chain team align with that strategy
Providing recommendations for supply chain to deliver the business’ strategy, operating plan and medium-term objectives
Manages a quality organization of three or more employees
Partners with Nutrabolt’s contract manufacturers and vendors to ensure the overall quality of Nutrabolt’s products
Oversees the management of Nutrabolt’s CAPA (Corrective Action Preventative Action) program and work with Nutrabolt’s Supply Chain partners to implement necessary actions
Measures and improves upon Nutrabolt’s critical quality KPIs including CPMUS (Complaints per million units sold), lead time for ECAR closure, etc.
Develops and maintains scorecard style reporting on the ongoing performance of Nutrabolt and our partners against critical KPIs
Manages process for the ongoing audit of Nutrabolt’s manufacturers and suppliers
Oversees management of adverse event reporting and maintain proper documentation
Ensures all serious adverse event reports are submitted
Partners with contract manufacturers and the Product Development team to design the product specs for stability testing
Partners closely with Supply Chain, Product Development, Regulatory and other functions across Nutrabolt to ensure quality is engrained in every department
Reviews and provides feedback to Product Development on label compliance, formulations and other aspects of new product launches as required
Oversees Nutrabolt’s Documentation Management System and ensures its ongoing use for necessary controlled and uncontrolled documents
Has a Bachelors of Science in Chemistry, Biology, Engineering or equivalent discipline, Masters preferred
Has 10+ years of relevant industry experience in a Quality Assurance compliance position and exposure to Regulatory Agencies
Has experience in the dietary supplement industry and detailed understanding of 21 CFR part 111 and FSMA
Is a problem solver
Has excellent communication, organization and time management skills with the ability to manage several priorities
