Position Description: The Ingram School of Engineering at Texas State University invites applications for three (3) tenure track faculty positions in Civil Engineering, starting in Fall 2018. One (1) position is at the rank of Full Professor, and two (2) positions are at the rank of Associate Professor. Successful candidates will be expected to establish a program of funded research, exhibit a strong commitment to student-centered teaching and mentoring at the undergraduate and graduate levels, and perform university and professional service. Regardless of rank, required qualifications include an earned doctorate in civil engineering or a closely related discipline, domain-appropriate research publications, effective teaching ability, professional licensure/registration (PE), and prior experience with grants and contracts. Depending on rank, preferred qualifications include an appropriate research specialization (eg. structures, materials, environmental, geotechnical, fluids/hydraulics, or transportation), experience in areas related to Smart City technologies and applications, and industrial, commercialization, or post-doctoral experience.
