The district permits specialist responds to inquiries, reviews applications, and prepares and issues permits. This position determines location within right-of-way for projects and inspection before, during and after construction to be sure the public is protected.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Review and issue approach road and miscellaneous permits.
Field inspects current permit work in progress for scope, compliance to special provisions, plans and standard specifications for highway construction.
Monitor traffic control, signing of construction sites, and temporary protection and direction of traffic are a part of these duties.
Research right-of-way and agreement files, deeds and titles, grants or indentures of access, and insurance and performance bond compliance.
Research and comment on land-use actions to cities and Klamath & Lake County.
Attend planning meetings concerning developments commented on in land-use actions.
Testify at hearings on contested land-use actions to present ODOT's access position.
